"I was fortunate to have been told about Russ Kelso and PMCI by an Air Force buddy of mine back in ’98. I asked Russ to perform a pre-purchase inspection on an ’82 SC. Russ not only “educated” me on the pros and cons of the SC, but identified some minor and not so minor niggles that needed to be done to make that particular car right. Armed with the items Russ pointed out, I was able to present a very informed offer to the seller and ultimately ended up with a very solid 911. After my initial experience with Russ and his crew, it was a no-brainer that I would be taking my car to PMCI for any and all required work. The ’82 was always running like a dream with Russ’ attention, and upon selling it to a fellow PCA club member, I put Russ on the case again having him do a PPI on a ’70 911E. Again I had a good bargaining position with Russ’ findings and the seller, knowing Russ also, did not question his PPI report, and we struck a fair deal. After many years of spirited driving, my ’70 eventually needed a complete engine rebuild, and extensive gearbox work. PMCI delivered a drive train that just amazes me and anyone who happens to be aboard when the original 2.2 MFI H6 gets on cam and all the way to 6,500 RPM. Wide grins for all. To give you some measure of the confidence I have in Russ, while trying to decide if I was going to keep my ’70 for the duration or move to something different in the Porsche family tree. One of the most important factors I needed to consider was having a trusted wrench to keep her running right for the long run. My first call was to Russ to ask him, quite frankly, if he was planning on continuing running PMCI for the foreseeable future. His response of “”’Till the day I die” was all I needed to know and the decision was made. Next stop was with Kirk Maurer for the body and paint, and I am now incredibly happy with essentially a new or better ’70 911E in terms of mechanical performance/reliability, and cosmetics. If my words read a tad overboard, all I can say is Russ and his crew certainly earned them."

"I got my first Porsche in 2003 and had no idea what to do with it in terms of maintenance and repair, having just moved to New Mexico at the same time. It wasn’t too long after that people in the know told me that Russ Kelso at PMCI is the one you need to know. Since then, Russ has cared for my car exclusively, whether it’s been for maintenance or for performance upgrades. As many people know, my little 1990 C4 has a local reputation as “The Beast” in autocrossing circles, does very well on track-days, and has been featured in Porsche Panorama for its runs at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Every bit of the work that makes the car run – fast and safe -- has been performed by Russ Kelso and his crew at PMCI. Nuff said."

"Since 1993 Russ Kelso and his crew at PMCI Inc. have maintained, modified and fabricated my Porsche cars. Everything from routine maintenance like oil & filter changes, waterpump and timing belt changes, transmission rebuilds, engine rebuilds (with updates to increase performance); even
removal and replacement of the Corvette engine in my 944S2 with the installation of the Accusump oil reservoir system to prevent future damage
at track events. Russ and his technicians are as enthusiastic about my Porsches as I am and I always feel confident that I am getting the best job
available. Personalized service, great prices on parts and labor..........I will keep on coming back! "

"I have been a customer of PMCI and Russ Kelso almost from day one. The fact that I have remained a loyal PMCI customer speaks to the competence and excellence that Russ and his staff have shown over the years. I have grown to have complete trust in everyone at there. PMCI has been building my racing engines for 20 years and they have been reliable and fast. Russ knows how to build horsepower………

"Every time I visit PMCI I learn something new about my car. Russ Kelso's encyclopedic knowledge of the Porsche marque provides customers with a personalized, tailored diagnosis of what your car needs and how to achieve the task at hand. PMCI provides intelligent and practical solutions to problems other shops simply throw new parts to. Of course, part replacement is sometimes essential, but being an honest garage with integrity as a core value, PMCI will always maximize everything your car has before they turn to replacements. This speaks of their unquestionable reputation among the Porsche community of Albuquerque.
Customer service is second to none. Russ Kelso personally answers every phone call, which is a testament to his dedication and responsibility to customer care. In other shops Im shoved to a waiting room where Im expected to sit down and wait. At PMCI I am made aware of every step of a maintenance or repair process being performed. The group of qualified technicians work synchronically throughout the shop and a sense of teamwork and camaraderie is always palpable when you walk in.
Every single question, concern or request that I have ever made to PMCI about my 993 has been met with nothing short of expert guidance. For the long and prosperous journey that Im taking with my Porsche, and for the hundreds of thousands of miles left to ride, PMCI is helping me get there."

Picking up my car in the morning and I can't wait! I'm sure the bill will sting a little, but that's OK....I love making a penny scream in pain lol. IMS upgrade ran a little long and other things were found, but it's better to get it all done while they're in there. My hat's off to PerformanceMotor CarInvestments. Russ and David Porteous have been very helpful and have kept me in the loop on everything. Believe I've found a gold mine when it comes to taking care of my baby....thanks guys!

"I drove my 88 Targa 1000 miles from Boise Idaho to Sante Fe for the Roadrunner Fiesta event over the Memorial Day weekend. On Friday's tour I started to sense something wasn't right which was confirmed on Saturday's tour with jerking deceleration, gear grinding, and a horrible clunk. It quickly became evident that my original clutch was failing after 104,000 miles and I went into panic mode wondering how and when I was going to get the car back to Boise. After a brief why me spell one of the Roadrunner members said to call Russ who was expecting my call. I had no idea who Russ was but the Roadrunner members sure did. Within seconds of making the call he was talking solutions, not problems and agreed to clear the decks and try to get me back on the road as soon as possible.
He did exactly that and more! The car was on the lift after arriving early Tuesday am and he and the very capable David and Johnny began the inspection and took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me. I have never had a mechanic do that after owning Porsche for over 25 years. Russ said that he didn't like putting band aids on things that could be addressed while the engine was out which was music to my ears because the last thing I wanted was to drive away knowing I still had problems. By Wednesday they had the clutch and key components replaced, adjusted the valves, replaced fuel and oil lines, cap and rotor, various gaskets, cv boots, and a few other needed items. I cannot over emphasize how willing they were to explain everything and I learned more about my car in that short time than I had in years. I left Albuquerque at 5 am the next day and pulled into my driveway at 8 pm logging 956 pleasant miles. The car runs perfectly thanks to PMCI! I am even thinking of driving back for oil changes...well probably not but if I am ever that way again, I will definitely visit Russ!"

3 years now PMCI has been handling my repairs and maintenance on my Porsche
Russ and his staff are fantastic and genuinely personable .
Wizards with a spanner, this is a full service Porsche shop, they just completed a difficult repair to my emissions system, they could have replaced multiple parts with lots of labor time, but turns out the issue was leaking hoses so the repair was completed properly with low cost,
Remember quality work takes time, allow for it on each visit, during pickup each time ,Russ discusses completed work And general health of your vehicle because he inspects everything thoroughly and knows his craft
If you're picky about your Porsche, this is where it belongs
Fun place to find on your first visit, huge Porsche badge adorning gate as you pull in, you'll have to wait a bit for the gate to open, but they know your coming because you made an appointment, right
A Porsche heaven if there ever was one

From "Micah," Google Maps PMCI page:
"I have a lower mileage 911 Turbo and live in Clovis, NM (approximately 3.5 hours SE of Albuquerque). Russ came highly recommended, and I was not disappointed when I recently had my car in for service. Since we were from out of town and were making an extended weekend trip out of our vehicle's service, we placed a lot of faith in his (and his employees) ability to get our car ready in time for our trip back home. He did a great job. Russ and his guys are true Porsche experts - and their shop is a lot of fun to visit and be in. It is a little tricky to find, so be sure and call ahead to get directions. Russ was extremely polite and understanding. It was one of those places where you can really enjoy just talking to the kind of people who share your interest in these cars - and shops like that are few and far between. Both he and his crew took the time to explain everything in great detail. His son is a veteran as well - and that means a lot to me. PMCI is the only place in NM I'll take my Turbo."
